Position Summary

The EnglishConnect Curriculum Coordinator provides leadership in the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of BYU-Pathway Worldwide’s EnglishConnect portfolio. The EnglishConnect audience encompasses members of the Church throughout the world seeking greater access to educational and employment opportunities through improved English proficiency. The curriculum coordinator manages curriculum teams, guides product development phases, tracks student outcomes, and ensures program goals, quality and uniformity standards are upheld. The position also works in collaboration with a broader governing body comprised of leaders within the Church Educational System (CES): BYU, BYU-Hawaii, BYU-Idaho, and Pathway, as well as the Missionary Department and Self-Reliance Services.

Work Location:
The BYU-Pathway Worldwide team is currently transitioning from Rexburg, Idaho, to Salt Lake City, Utah. The selected candidate for this position will relocate to Salt Lake City or the surrounding area upon hire.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

The requirements for this position would most typically be met with a graduate-level degree, or a bachelors with equivalent experience in curriculum design, instruction, product management, or other related field.

In addition, candidates should demonstrate:
• Product management skills in a portfolio environment
• Leadership experience with diverse types of teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Proficiency with online learning and assessment technologies, including competency-based curriculum products
• Successful project and product management in industry, Higher Education, or K-12
• An entrepreneurial, problem-solving mindset
• Ability to work collaboratively with peers and stakeholders
• Knowledge of language acquisition methodologies and EIL instruction is preferred

Work Schedule

typically 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday through Friday. Additional time as needed to complete work assignments in a timely manner.
