Position Summary

This is an interest list posting for FDENG 101: Writing and Reasoning Foundations. This English course emphasizes critical reading and thinking and effective written communication within academic and social contexts. This course introduces critical reading strategies, the writing process, research, and documentation, and argumentation. Students will also develop their ability to summarize, analyze, and synthesize various claims or points of view.

Online adjunct faculty mentor students and facilitate teaching and learning. They uphold the mission, values, and standards of BYU-Idaho and the LDS Church. They support the BYU-Idaho Learning Model and participate in an online teaching group.

As teaching opportunities for the course arise, interest list applicants selected for further review will be asked to participate in our interview process (this does not require travel to Rexburg).

Master’s degree or higher in English or a related field

Work Schedule

Online adjunct faculty work from home. The schedule is flexible but should equate to approximately 3.5 hours per week for each course credit hour.
